| When is this set: The start of the story Time of day: Evening What the weather is like: Snowstorm Where is the RP set: Frozen Paradise Tavern in Ferador
Markos slammed his fist down upon the oak table, the liquid from his beverage spilling over the sides of the mug onto the wood. "What do you mean, you can't pay me for the contract?" He demanded to the meek human whom he was meeting - Markos had come to Ferador as part of a contract but after completion, only found out that he couldn't be paid. "Get out!" The meek human squeaked in response, falling over his chair onto the hard stone floor before dashing out of the large door out of the tavern. Relaxing slightly, Markos realized he had been standing up for the duration of the argument. He scoffed and smoothed his clothes off before sitting down, much to the relief of any spectators. Only the flickering fire in the hearth was any comfort to him now... That and the sound of snow whipping against the windows and the howling of wind in the distance...

| Tavern's front door creaked open letting in some of the hail at floor. A man wearing thick, customized and furry armour made his steps inside the tavern leaving wet tracks behind him. Covered in snow, he had a unusual but unique straw hat on head which covered his face in shadows. Tomoaki - the man sat down on stool at bar placing hands on top of bar. "One glass of whiskey!" Tomoaki spoke with very deep voice. He didn't even bother to take off his hat or shake off the snowflakes that had fallen on him. But it didn't matter much, the snowflakes slowly melted from the heat of tavern. | |

| "Oh? A visitor?" Markos muttered to himself. He rubbed a finger in a circular motion over the top of his glass, creating a silent whistling sound. He then stood up, wiping his finger on his clothes and returned his drink to the barman. "Sorry, I don't feel much like drinking it today. You can keep the money though." Markos frowned as he walked away from the bar, but he stopped at the door. He rested a hand upon its cold frame, turning his head back to meet the new visitor. With a sigh of resignation, he walked back to the bar and tapped Tomoaki on the shoulder. | |

| Bartender took a bottle of whiskey and poured the whiskey in a small, classic glass. He then slid it across the bar in Tomoaki's hand without spilling a drop but making a beautiful noise once metal parts on Tomoaki's glove clashed with the glass. Tomoaki raised the glass a bit waiting for a second and then with one sip he drank out the whole glass. A sudden warm feeling flew through his blood. "Give me another one!" Tomoaki spoke with a demanding voice placing glass on bar. At that moment he was tapped on his shoulder by a stranger. Not appreciating such a contact before even speaking, Tomoaki attempted to grab the man's hand without turning around and kinda gently push it a bit away. | |

| In response to his hand being grabbed and pushed away, Markos frowned slightly. He returned his hands to his body, folding his arms. With a sigh, he sat down at what passed as a bar stool at the bar, next to Tomoaki. "I need to know the way to Phyros and the best way in which to get back in this weather." He stated. "I thought you'd be the best person for the know-how on how to travel around in these parts what with having all this preparedness for snow and all, unlike me!" Markos chuckled, signalling to his thin top and trousers. At least he had fur boots on. | |

| The next whiskey glass was poured in even more quickly and slid in Tomoaki's hand making same, good, old beautiful noise. Before taking the second sip, Tomoaki without even turning and taking a look at appearance of stranger gave him his first answer with just as deep voice as his last speech: "You wait until the snowstorm ends. It won't last long." Tomoaki finished his speech by dropping in another whiskey amount in his mouth. "Or will," his head felt a bit heavier. To rest he leaned it against the bar.
Eyes were still open but the eyelids seemed heavy enough to close eyes. He just had his drinks from glass of whiskey and got warm after the walk in snowstorm leaving huge footprints in snow that were probably filled with snow by now but he also got a bit drunk already. Tomoaki was always sensitive on alcohol to become drunk fast. "Rest for today!" Tomoaki spoke to the stranger while still holding head on the bar.

| "Huh..." Markos frowned upon seeing Tomoaki start to get drunk. He straightened up and lifted himself off his seat. "I guess I"ll stay here to nice. The rooms are supposed to be quite nice after all." He shrugged, turning to the barman. "How much for a room? That little? Fine, here." He reached into his purse, handing over the money for the room. "One night, and I'll see you in the morning." Markos nodded to Tokoaki, hoping he woild still be sober enough to hpget himself a room or home. Actually, would it be wise to leave him out there? Whatever. He'd be fine. Markos started up the stairs... | |

| "Hey, bartender!" Tomoaki spoke raising his head a bit after Markos left. "I didn't even catch the man's name," He then dropped a curious glance at stairs, which were the only ones in tavern therefore meaning they were only possible way for Markos to get up stairs and rest. Bartender took Tomoaki's glass and without answering pulled out his leather sheet beginning to clean the glass. "Hmph," Tomoaki dropped a unsatisfied noise past lips. He stood up balancing himself with wide legs, placed his hand at waist and pulled a string from sack, then took out a gold piece throwing it past shoulder in bartender's hand. "Thanks for the drink!"
Slowly without rush Tomoaki walked up to a table in tavern corner sitting down on a bench that was at the table. He didn't really plan this but from effect of whiskey Tomoaki pulled his hat a bit down to cover tavern's candle light from eyes and fell asleep on the bench while back was leaning against a wall.

| The night passed without incident. The next morning, it was still snowing by the time Markos woke up but the skies were clearer and the falling snow was much less dense. The stairs creaked as Markos stepped slowly down them. He stretched and yawned as he did so, rounding off the stairs onto the floor, shooting a double-take at the man sleeping on the bench. "Huh..." Markos muttered to himself, turning to the barman. "Thanks for the room. What's the fastest way to Phyros?" He asked, leaning on the bar. | |

| Bartender had woken up early this morning but he does it every morning anyways. He was old and that's why he required less sleeping, he could go to bed late and wake up early. Bartender was used to this. He was currently counting the gold coins earned from yesterday, carefully stacking ten gold coins in each straight up pile so he wouldn't make a mistake. Once hearing Markos come down with his footsteps, bartender quickly counted the piles, grabbed them and dropped in a drawer behind his bar. The uncounted gold pile was dropped in drawer too but in a different pile.
"I spend all my days in this tavern. Recent years I haven't moved a inch away from Ferador. The paths have probably changed since my days," bartender answered Markos question and got onto his question, "care for a drink or a snack?"
Meanwhile Tomoaki was still sleeping with the hat covering his face from the light on bench. He didn't make a single snore and he slept very quietly. Tomoaki may not look like it but the drunkenness has wore off and currently he could think straight like a line. Still tired, though.

| Markos nodded in response to what the bartender said, sitting down at the bar. "I'll have a quick snack. A non-alcoholic drink. What do you have?" He asked, spreading his left hand in an arc over his face. As he did this, he eyed Tomoaki who was sleeping with a straw hat covering his face. "He's a deep sleeper isn't he?" Markos chuckled. "What time is it? It feels early, but I wish to leave early for Phyros so that is no issue." As he spoke, the candle on the bar flickered ominously. The flame was almost at the bottom, surrounded by melted wax. "Visitors last night, after us?" Markos asked quizzically. | |

| "Listen kid, I'm just a bartender! If you wish to speak about something other than drink or snack buying then make friends," bartender said annoyed of being spoken so much to about stuff he is not paid for. He then looked at bar at his side of view and grabbed a thin book with cardboard covers. "Menu" was written in silver over dark brown cover. "Read this and pick!"
The straw hat above Tomoaki's face fell off once Tomoaki tried to turn to a more comfortable side. The light coming from tavern windows woke Tomoaki up more quickly than usually. Probably because it was nearly impossible to have a good sleep on these chairs - neither was Tomoaki going to spend his money for renting a bed - he already has one at home!

| "Ah, okay..." Markos frowned when the bartender retorted with a comment about himself not being an information bank. "So much for information..." He muttered to himself. He then picked up the Menu that the bartender handed him and began leafing through the contents. He then turned his attention on Tomoaki who seemed to suddenly wake up without warning, his straw hat falling on the floor. "You should have got a bed!" Markos called out to him before returning to the menu he was holding, leafing through the pages. | |

| "What for?" Tomoaki spoke with his deep but clear voice. Alcohol had worn off from yesterday, "I already have one at home." Tomoaki bent down looking on the fallen straw hat. He reached his hand to the straw hat placing it back on his head - where it should be. The night was uncomfortable and cold but soon Tomoaki will return home to his wife, who is probably worried by now that something could have happened to Tomoaki in last night's snowstorm. His home is always kept warm with a large fireplace in living room. Tomoaki can imagine the view even now. It gives him the urge to return home as fast as possible too.
Tomoaki stand up taking an overlook at himself to be sure he doesn't forget anything and slowly begins walking towards the tavern door increasing his walking speed by every step.

| "Even if you already have one at home, you never went home to sleep in that bed." Markos pointed out as he finished looking through the menu. He turned to the bartender.
"I'll have the first food and drink options available, please." He pointed to these items as he said this and gave the menu back. He then noticed Tomoaki was leaving the tavern. "Hey, aren't you staying for breakfast?" Markos asked, turning around from the counter slightly so he half-faced the man and also half-faced the bartender.

| "Never? I've slept in my bed for years, since when did the word "never" change it's meaning?" Tomoaki pointed out the stranger's incorrect use of word in this case after stopping to walk and slightly turning. "I don't get to have money thrown at me so I choose to save it. I already "drank the money" to keep myself warm, which I could use for the bed," Tomoaki placed his hand on the tavern's door handle and pulled it open roughly and left without bothering to answer the last question. Breakfast was waiting at home. | |

| Whisky and Wrarg was quickly served to Markos as he bade farewell to the person whom he hadn't met for long. He watched Tomoaki exit the inn, as he closed the door behind him. It was only for a brief moment that the harsh winds of Ferador were let into the inn and a small, scattered pile of snow spread itself over the floor by the entrance. "Thanks." Markos muttered to the innkeeper, taking the food and drink of which he drank and ate slowly. | |
